Corporate Yoga Classes

These classes are specifically designed to improve the mental and physical health of corporate employees, addressing common issues like stress, incorrect posture, and the imbalances of a sedentary lifestyle. Each class has a theme inspired to the fundamental principles of yoga philosophy, explained with simplicity throughout the practice of asanas, pranayama (breath expansion) and meditation.

How will practising yoga benefit me?

Yoga joins the benefits of a mindful physical practice with the ancient art of using our breath to access a meditative state, eventually transforming our lives in a gentle and powerful way. A regular practice of yoga postures, specifically designed to help the body cope with long hours sitting at a desk can significantly support posture, strength and flexibility, while helping the mind become clear, relaxed and still.

Breathing techniques provide simple yet powerful tools to help improve lung capacity and efficiency, decrease blood pressure, reduce stress and develop a calmer and more self-aware mind. Neuroplasticity studies show that conscious breathing is linked directly with the development of our pre-frontal cortex, the most evolved part of our brain. The benefits of a few minutes of meditation during our workday can be experienced from the very early stages of practice: increased clarity, improved concentration, renewed focus and a calm, more serene attitude are only a few of the most common effects experienced by both beginners and regular yogis.

What will the class involve?

Each class includes a combination of asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation, in order to create a complete and transformative yoga experience. The physical component consists of a variety of postures and their variations, combined in specific sequences, targeting those areas of the body most affected by a sedentary lifestyle. Different breathing techniques will be practiced in each class following the physical practice, in preparation for the final meditation and relaxation.

Does it matter if I have never tried yoga before?

The class is designed to be accessible to all ages and levels of experience. A yoga practice is great for building coordination and body awareness, which we can benefit from at all stages of life.
